Banga Sangha is a Social & cultural Organization having Registration No. PTR-(E)-815(T) dated 8th April 1986 Thane, (Mumbai), India.
We have temple complex called Banga Sangha Durgabari Prangan and adjoining Office at G-6 Sweta Park Off : R.N.Park, Bhayandar (E). To reach from Bhayandar Rly. Stn. (East) ask for Jesal Park then R.N.P Park next to (Sweta Park).
We have the Temple Complex having area 52000 sq.ft open land at Old Survey No.187 Hissa No.1 to 3 (P) has been purchased from Mr. Hazi Dawood Malbarwala. It is a 3 piece of land @ 13,000 sq.ft. each. Further, 13000 sq.ft open land added in 2016 now temple complex area stands 52,000 sq.feet.
We the people of West Bengal came Mumbai for living, some are working in offices, doing Business of Gold, Diamond & other works. Sangha has been planned to keep Bangla Cultural activities alive and specially to make aware next generation of Bangla Culture and also make them to speak in Mother tongue Bangla.
Mumbai which is about 2000 km away from Kolkata, Capital of West Bengal. We started cultural activities with celebration of Saraswati Pooja in or about 1980 with very few people of Bhayandar. Thereafter, we grew and registered our Sangha as a Social & Cultural Organization in the year 1986 having Reg. No.PTR-(E)-815 (T) dated 8th April 1986 Thane, (Mumbai), India.
Most of the festivals of Bengal are replicated here like Ganpati Pooja, Durga Pooja, Laxmi Pooja, Kali Pooja, Shivaratri Pooja, Saraswati Pooja,Manosa Pooja, Dol Poornima (Holi), Baisaikhi (Naba Barsho) etc.
The registration formalities were done under the Stewardship of Mr.Shaktipada Das- President, Mr. Arun Mukherjee - Secretary, Mr.B.Karmakar Treasurer and Mr. Anil Bhadra - Advisor .
Banga Sangha purchased their registered office in the year 1984 at First Floor of Shanti Ganga CHS Ltd, Station Road, Bhayandar (E) Pin 401 105.Mr. Ajay Dutta helped us for negotiation of this deal with the Society of the building.
Banga Sangha works on guidelines of elected executive committee. Selection of the Committee Members are made by way of election in every 3 years. We have ninth election as on date. Now, 10th election due on January 2019.
Activities of Sangha is to organize most of the festivals of Bengal's, cultural activities like stage show Drama, Children Programmes like Fancy Dress, Acting, Elocution ,& Dance etc. We donate to the Chief Minister relief fund & other Trust to help the affected people due to natural Calamities Flood etc. We also, give the monetary help to needy poor students for their studies and to Widows & Handicaps.
